| The essential question for a research project is a higher order question that targets all the other questions for the project toward a goal. It is the big idea, the arrow in the bow, the alpha dog in the pack, the turkey at Thanksgiving dinner, the beacon on the shore, the bride at the wedding, the bell of the ball, the butter on the bread, and bing in the blingbling. The essential question leads the pack. An essential question can only be answered with an essay. One word (lower order) answers will not work. |
Time passes, and progress is made or not. In the meantime, as in a book of days, the semester passes, lessons are learned, and this missive can be a model of movement from day to day.
