Essential Question option #2

Books made out of any material can be layered with daily meaning. A book made of spoons, or metal tiles, or any flat-ish material that can be written upon or attached could be a book of days. With this project, the lessons of this research class are the daily meditative thoughts. There are metaphors that can be attributed to such a book of days...in book form:

feeding research lessons (see post, Book of Spoonfeeding Days) -- lessons in the bowl of spoons
rolling up the lessons (see post, Book of 2-ply materials) -- lessons in empty cardboard toilet paper rolls
carving in stone -- lessons etched into stone-appearance pieces of foamcore that have been bound together
hammering out a research project -- lessons hammered into sheets of copper using alphabet nail punches
growing a research project -- identifying lessons on large, pressed leaves bound together
What interests a middle school student?

Essential Question option #2 -- From the point of view of middle school students, what would be the most interesting, multi-layered, way to present the lessons for producing a research project?
