Day 23: Thank You Notes

Thank you notes are written expressions of gratitude. They grease the wheels of research since so much of what a researcher does is based on the cooperation and kindness of others.

A thank you note begins with acknowledge of the service rendered (what the person did), move on to a brief explanation of how it helped, THEN the thank you. Shaping a thank you note in this way makes the receiver know the gratitude has depth, and is not just a routine 'thanks' that is so often casually given in our society.

A Book of Thank You Days would be a book of thank you notes. The book in the image is a book of gratitude thoughts the author has about his life.

But, what if a Book of Thank You Days could be about thank you notes for difficult situations? Not everyone knows how to write a thank you note, especially for a circumstance when it may be hard to be grateful, or aware of what the gratitude should be about in the first place!

Thank you!
