Day by day, the research book of days came together. The 8 units of lessons were put onto the circles, and then held together with binder rings. The close-up of unit 7, below, shows the lessons that were available for the Plagiarism information. Each circle is a summarization of the handout that corresponds with it
The apple gourd was decorated with research words before 8 holes were drilled for the units of lessons. One thing that made the difference was shifting all the rings so they leaned to one side -- that helped align the lid notches so the book would close neatly. Notice the lid handle. Instead of locating a capital R, I went with a metal charm of a tree image to symbolize the tree of knowledge. That was appropriate for this book of research days!
