Green Eggs and Ham Checkers

In this attempt to use an old, potentially discarded book, Dr. Suess's Green Eggs and Ham was salvaged from the pile for a reimagined book project - Green Eggs and Ham Checkers!

The text was cut up into 2 3/4" squares and glued onto a poster board, then laminated.
Back - text and Sam art in the book
Front - blue pages and green eggs & ham art
Initially, the pages were going to be one side and themed to match the title but clearly, there was more than what would fill one side of poster board.  In fact, the blocks of the type needed to be used since the story revolve around the repetition of phrases of "like" and "do not like". The expressive faces and character art, along with the text, made an interesting combination and therefore became the back of the poster board. Having it laminated at a local office supply store added a measure of protection so nothing fell off as it was being used.

Given the game board is made from the pages of the book, how can the cover be used and game pieces be made?
