The Fried Eggs

Starting with the green eggs and the ham art in the book, the yolks were tested on pieces of scraps cut from a large gourd.
Note: gourds are bulbous, not flat. To make these pieces flat, a large penguin gourd was broken apart and boiled to make the pieces pliable. The pieces were then flattened between cookie cooling racks in a well-ventilated area.  Given the fired egg team seems ready, what about the opposite side of the game? How are hams made with gourds? What part does the cover of the book play?

Painting the gourd pieces white and green
made them look pretty similar
to the images on the cover and in the book.
