1- Surround yourself with others ~ 2- Change what you're looking at ~ 3- Do something
4- Daydream ~ 5- Examine others' ideas ~ 6- Explore your creative side
7- Change your point of view
When making the Green Eggs and Ham project, there was a group of like-minded folks sitting around remembering favorite books. This became a fair amount of daydreaming while the group was playing with some paint techniques. While the discussion moved from book to book, piles of gourds were sorted. The combination of #s 1, 3, 4, and 5 provided some inspiration. A trip to a gourd farm in Pennsylvania provided additional ideas. This coming-together of pieces seems to be how ideas get inspired and take root - and how bright lights begin to shine toward a central goal.
