Day 26: Practical Tips for Paraphrasing

There are 3 practical tips for paraphrasing information in order to avoid plagiarism:

Create a distinctive sentence that is different from the original (not just change one or two words).

Compare it to the original to make sure the meaning has not changed.

Cite it.

Three Cs: create, compare, cite. Pretty straight-forward and simple. A book of days is pretty straight-forward too, and deceptively simply. It can be a daily bullet list of actions or numbers or it can be authored text that captivates a reader. Informational like an almanac listing the moon phases, or entertaining like a diary describing all the parties attended with detailed descriptions of attending personalities.

What makes a person want to read a Book of Days? Are they read cover to cover, or intermittently?
