Putting One and One Together...

Getting inspiration can be a matter of connecting dots.  In the discarded-book room of the school are battered books destined for where?  There's Booksavers of VA who arrived a couple weeks ago and took several skids of old textbooks. However, several carts of library books await use in the school-wide recycling/re-imagining project.  Because I know about gourds and the different gourd shapes, the book Twilight caught my eye. I have a couple apple gourds suitable for companionship with this book!

The idea is to cut the apple gourd open and decoupage the book text into the gourd halves so look like apple pulp. The cover can be cut up and used as "the core" in the center of the layers and layers of apple pulp.
